I think I bought a 06 Viper today?
I did buy a 06 Viper today!!!!
Not sure how this happened went out to look at a local 2006, was looking at older 03-04 cars mainly private party due to price. Test drove a 06 at 59K with 2700 miles December 06 in service date.
Its a basic car just exhaust and intake at a dealer CPO'd, no H wheels though. Clean but a few scratches in the wheels.
They had it on the lot of 18 months wanted it gone bad, took my 05 SRT-10 Ram at 30K trade which was insane. I paid 23K for it a while back, personally. Walked out the door at 47K for the real cost. Lot of that was profit on the price they paid for the truck but hell.
Straight buy at 47K for a car with CPO and 2700 miles seems like a deal right? I keep doing the math and looking at what has actually sold and it seems reasonable right? I have been looking at 03's for so long that I am a little startled.
Put a deposit down and will pickup on Friday if the inspection goes well, can still back out but payment is going to run me ~800 a month for 72. I am putting the 40K from my BMW and ~23K of the tuck back into the market.
First time using the photo albums I will upload some cool stuff later tonight.

RC 05 with 10K miles 6/60K war. Bone stock and perfect in condition.
What about the cost on the viper, I understand they are using the ram money to motivate me and it worked but is ~47K a good price.
Sounds like a good deal. btw, H spokes didn't come out till 08. There's always some floating aorund on the viper borads fs if you really want a set. Make sure you get rid of those runflat tires that are currently on there as they are one of the worst tires I have ever driven on.

As far as the price goes, 47k sounds very fair for a 06 with such low miles and a late in-service date. Vipers are funny that way, in my search for a Gen 3, I found a 04 with a January 05 in-service date!
Here are some pics of mine, and the mods:

Sounds like a decent deal for an 06'.. can't believe they gave you that much for the Ram. Dealers can't move those SRT Rams, can pick them up at a huge discount, resale sucks on them.
Hey if it got you into the car you wanted, that's all that matters.
Sounds like a deal to me. These cars are pick a number. You will see some morons still asking $60k for some '04s. And you will notice they've all been on the market for over a year or better.
Then every once in awhile you come across somebody whos willing to make a deal. The majority of the people aren't buying $50k dollar cars, so the ball is in your court.
$30k for your Ram is insane, I'd take the money and run.

Yeah the price is good, its close and the mileage is right. Going through with the deal. Other then the obscene sales tax in California I cannot wait for this thing. I thought that H wheels were a 06 thing but it must be trading 08's around.
I plan on doing the H pipe for the heat and stripes and just driving the thing to the ground.

I don't know if our office ships but a concept president just returned his Viper and the price appears to be pretty good.

$46,000 is a very good price for a low mileage '06. It would be a fabulous price for a coupe. Regardless, if it was kept clean running and not abused then go for it. Check and ask if an aftermarket hi-flo cat was also installed with the aftermarket exhaust.
