Superperformance Cobra Questions

http://www.parkplaceltd.com/inventor...rent=1&size=50

Was looking at this car and others similar and would love to get some thoughts and opinions from others regarding maint. and other potential issues with owning a Superperformance car. They seem to be very well built, but I can't seem to find much info or reviews from owners.

I'm not skilled enough to handle service on this or any other car and I'm wondering what type of service it will need.

Also, I plan on driving it to work occasionally...I had a Lotus Elise before my Vantage and the Elise was a tough car to make a daily driver out of for the summer-is this going to be a similar experience?

Many thanks!

There are always plenty of Cobra kit cars FS. The Superperformance is one the high end ones.

The car is a simple design (AC first made the car is 1956). It uses a simple pushrod Ford engine. Anyone can work on one.

It's an amazing car
by far the most fun I've had behind the wheel
but like any "custom" car it's a very impractical endeavour

you need to show it a lot of respect

High HP, short wheel base and zero safety feature like ABS, airbags etc

I'm more than happy to answer any questions you may have

They are the best of the repro Cobra's, so much so that they build the continuation cars for Shelby! Most push for Roush small block Ford engines in varying cubic inches with TREMEC manual transmissions. Both are bullet-proof and you would have to run them without oil to cause any serious damage.

Like the poster above said, very easy to work on, you would actually enjoy it.

I worked for a Superformance importer for awhile some years back....
