2010 Challenger SRT8
2010 Challenger SRT8
I'm looking at the new Challenger SRT8 and want to get an owner's opinion on the vehicle. What do you think about it and does it have enough NUT.

I test drove one, and almost bought one. They look awesome, but IMO have some issues.
1-Too damn heavy.
2-More money then a Camaro SS or '11 Mustang GT that will walk it.
3-Worst interior of the three.
The Camaro SS and the '11 Mustang GT are a much better deal and are quicker and handle better. I'm getting one of these once I drive the 5.0 GT in a few months to become my new daily driver.
But they sure do look good....

I agree, I love the way the Challenger looks but there has been a few reliability, quality issues. Also in every way its performance is not up there with either the Camaro SS or Mustang GT 5.0. Are you planning to modify the car at all?
Well that being the case, you should be looking at the Camaro SS first and the Mustang 2nd because both have a huge aftermarket. The LS3 Camaro will do 500 rwhp cam, bolt ons and tune only and 600-650 rwhp with forced induction. The Mustang will have a big aftermarket but with an 11.5 to 1 CR its going to be hard to squeeze out the rwhp with FI the LS3 is capable of.
Well it's off to the Chevy dealer again to re-test drive the SS. Germeezy1, you might have pushed me into the driver's seat of a new camaro. What color, hahaha????

If you have a little bit of time, I would wait to drive the Mustang GT. Its a little bit nicer car inside, and you can get nice options like Navigation. But it won't be as tuner friendly at least for a little while.
I disagree, the Camaro by far has the worst interior of the three. Cheap plastic grainy dashboard.
Rather than wait for the Mustang 5.0L, wait for the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 that is coming with the new 6.4L HEMI and roughly 500~ Horsepower and a few other updates (interior).

The SRT8 is a class above the SS, if your looking at that price and range of cars than the 2011 GT500 has 550 hp and is 100 lbs lighter. And then comes the 556 hp Z28, both of these cars are easy 650 rwhp cars with bolt ons, tune, and a pulley swap.
I just looked it up, forced induction and possibly 8k more than the SS! http://www.chevroletreports.com/blog...ro-z28-is-a-go
