There is so much good info here guys, thanks! I went in sat in an '02 yesterday and it was more comfortable that I thought it would be. I need to get my 911 sold before this becomes a reality though.

If you plan on tracking the car I would go with a gen3. The brakes are much better and the engine makes a little more power. You will have to go 06 if you want a coupe. The gen4 viper is heads and shoulders above any other viper out there. It has better looks than the gen3, just the hood, and the power is awesome for a stock car. The brakes and power train are just off the hook. The gen4s are more expensive but they make around 525-550rwhp stock. Good luck!
Viper ACR is on my top ten list of all-time cars I would love to own! Prices are dropping still, and some are garage queens and haven't even been broken in yet so I would take advantage of the buyer's market and go for it!

Gen 4 = 08-10. More aggressive hood, 600HP v. Gen 3 500HP, & variable valve timing on the exhaust side.

Oh trust me I am a Corvette guy, I know the Vipers inside and out...I was just asking UMADBRO what car he was talking about.
I looked very closely at a car just like yours ( Pure Sex GTS Coupe VB/ white stripes) and a Gen 3 SRT10, but truthfully I may have girl body parts because I felt like it was too much car to drive as much as I drive my Vette.
If we're talking daily driver, the ZR1 gets the nod............track monster? ACR any day of the week and twice on sunday! It's just so raw and nasty, like an old piece of sushi!

I kept coming back to buying a Viper when I got my Vette. I test drove 2 cars more than 5 times total....I just could not fathom driving one every day. I have even driven my Vette in the snow!
