New kid on the block
Well, at 66, I'm certainly no kid. But I live in Long Beach, SoCal & am into turbo Buicks, (I'm on my 5th one), & I also own a '09 CTS-V, bone stock so far, but maybe not forever. I heard today at a cruise in SoCal that there is a few SoCal Cad CTS-V's on here. Speak up if you're in SoCal and into Turbo Buicks and / or Cad CTS-V's.

Garry, Could I trouble you with a few GN questions?
I am looking to buy my first one, do you know of any in Socal for sale?
found these locally that look clean
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/1997571044.html
http://www.autotraderclassics.com/cl...sationId=46668
Also, can the GN be made to handle fairly well?
I have been looking at the Detroit speed and edelbrock G body pro-tour kits. They look complete and good.
Thanks!

Thanks, everybody, this looks like a very informative site. I was told about it yesterday at Irvine - Cars & Coffee but did not catch the gentleman's name or user name. He told me that there was a CTS-V on here sporting 700 RWHP, and that got my curiosity aroused.

I tried to PM you, but I can't PM for another 13 posts. If you want to PM me your phone #, I will give you a call with my #, and we could communicate that way. I can probably help you out and make some general & specific recommendations. Too lengthy to post up all though. I will post what I can when I get home from the shooting range today. In the meantime.......
No, mine's not for sale, but here is an interesting write-up done by Hemmings back in about 2004 or so. Car had about 12K miles, I believe, on it at the time the story was written. Not published until 2009 or so though.
I will post up suspension info this afternoon. HTH

Welcome to the site. I'm kind of new here myself. Love the CTS-V.
Bilstein shocks on all 4 corners, Kirban's front & rear stock height 25% stiffer springs on all 4 corners, Savitske's stage II front upper control arms with Howe tall ball joints, BMR upper rear fully adjustable control arms with 1LE rubber at rear & spherical rod ends at front side, Global West lower rear control arms with Del-A-Lum bushings at the rear & spherical rod ends at the front side, Kirban's rear seat brace, Kirban's set of 3 triangular stiffner lower frame ties, GTA front 16" rims on all 4 corners shod with Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. I am leaving thr front roll bar alone as I feel that it is stiff enough on the front end, and at the rear I have a 1" Global West bar that will be getting replaced with a 1 3/8" ATR replica bar as soon as I can get it mounted.
Coming up shortly (Christmas Holidays) will be Tom's lightweight precision steering box & matching coupler as sold by Marc Savitske.
AFAIK, I'm out of ideas, anybody got any more.
FWIW, I copied this word for word from a post that I have over on another site regarding making a G-Body handle. HTH

If I can be of any further help, Sean, please let me know. You will find the regional SouthWestern Section the place where all of the hooligans and henchmen hang, of which I am proud to be a member.
This is where the fun is at. Our last pizza cruise consisting of about 8 Cad CTS-V's, both generation VI & VII, (one '07 STS-V in there I believe), and about 16 or so turbo Buicks of various configurations, RWHP, & RWTQ levels Going from Hilltop park in Signal Hill, Republik of kali to Rafael's Round Table Pizza somewhere down the coast, via PCH. This was a blast.

Enjoy, Sean. Hope to see any turbo Buick or Cad CTS-V & STS-V at the next one. About the most fun that you can have with your clothes on.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the props on my rides, IMXCITD. I truly love both the '87 turbo Buick and the '09 CTS-V, even though the CTS-V is still bone stock. I have had two vettes in my life. The first was a '86 vert that was built into a GrandSport version by Guldstrand. Traco powered. Kool car. The second is the one that I have now which is a DD. It will have to go when I retire, which is very soon.
Thanks for the welcome, Centsless, and welcome to the forum to you, too. Cars & Coffee - Irvine is a cruise held every virtually Sat morning. Other than inclement weather, such as looks like coming this weekend.
Most of the turbo Buicks that I know of hang their hat over on >turbobuick.com<, SouthWestern Section in the regional area. There are at least a couple of turbo Buicks on this forum too.
