Stielow's "Red Devil" on Formula 43 Wheels

Hello 6speed Forum Members!

Introducing Formula 43 Wheels, proudly made in Detroit!

Over the last 17 months we've been developing our 18" and 19" modular RAD series of wheels. We manufacture our own German "Spin-Form" AL6061-T6 rim halves in house along with all machining of our Rotary Forged center sections.

Good friend of Formula 43 Wheels, Mark Stielow (engineer at GM), visits often and was quite impressed with our new wheels and manufacturing methods. We went to work this last winter in developing a specific wheel fitment for his "Red Devil" 1969 Camaro. As you may already know, Stielow's "Red Devil" Camaro is featured in this months issue of "Car & Driver" magazine and features large Brembo brakes, ABS, Goodyear 18" front and 19" rear tires, Detroit Speed mini tubs, DSE suspension and a monster 800hp LS7 supercharged engine to name a few!

Here's a few pics of the Camaro with our RAD14 Wheels. They feature black anodized centers, black inner rims and mirror polished outer rims.

We heard Mark will keep this Camaro as it is his favorite out of the 12 others he's built, but is already in the process of building #14!

Enjoy the pics and if you have any questions feel free to contact Formula 43 via email at tj@formula43.com or 734-432-0260.

Well yes & no: Size, width, tire size and brake clearance, yes same as C6 Z06. Offset is much lower on a Pro-Touring Camaro set up.

Front = 10.0 X 18 275/35-18

Rear = 12.0 X 18 325/30-18

Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car G2 Run Flats. Mark really speaks highly of these tires.

Go-Ran, thanks for the compliment. At this time we build 18" & 19" modular wheels in the RAD series. We do plan on introducing 20" in the future.

For a C6 Z06 currently we can build 18" front/rear, 19" front/rear or 19" front 19" rear.

Pricing starts at $875.00 per wheel.

Let me know if any of these combinations will work for you.

Thanks!

Very nice Travis.

"looks like a great car to start off with to build my girl friend a track car. She keeps bugging me to drive Red Devil and I think that is a bad idea...

That's what Mark said about why he's building another '69.

LOL

Curious how those brembos are going to stack up against the tons of Wilwood and Baer kits for first gens. Knowing Stielow he did it for performance. Numbers would be interesting for sure.

Car and wheels look fantastic.

Having driven on those tires though, I would say the owner is in for a loud and rough ride.

Appreciate the "all-American" approach

Red Devil update: Stielow and his Camaro were sent to Willow Springs to shoot a new Optima Battery commercial. Here's a link with pics and vid of the shoot.

The Formula 43 RAD14 wheels look great and are holding up to the abuse with no issues!

Was at the Optima Street Car Challenge and watched Mark beat on that car all day. And all I can say is that car is a BEAST! Was so cool to see a car and build of that quality actually get driven the way it should be. I can honestly say that event was the coolest things I've ever been to and I highly recommend it to any true car guy (or girl).
