My New DD 2011 CTS-V Coupe - Modded

Just a few mods to fun her up some more.

We did the LPE 630 kit but then upgraded to the 2.38 pulley on the 10 bolt hub. Added an additional lower LFP front mount Hx and a larger LPE Hx pump for more volumn and flow for IATs. IDE850 plugs, NGK7 plugs, LPE modded airbox with shield and brake duck mod, and a B&B 3 inch cat-back.

Formato tuned to her to 563/580 rwhp/tq in the Florida muggy air theu the A6 tuned tranny.

We did the PVD black chrome Speedlines with new 255/295 MPSS tires, added 7mm spacers and a custom alignment to go along with the Eibach springs. Blacked out the grill inserts to match the other darker cues but left the chrome surround and badging. Turned out real nice! I also got a set of 18inch rears with 305 Mickeys for the drag strip and late night track if needed!

In what terms? As a DD, worlds better. With the magnetic ride, you can be comfortable one minute and firmed up the next. My TT would smash your lower spine!

Straight line speed, with my current mods, the V is a bit faster but on the track or mountain roads, the TT is the winner. Getting bystander attention, the TT does it faster the the V coupe is no slouch.

Brakes, both cars have awesome brakes. Tie.

Modding, the V is way more cost effective. To tune the car it is $300 for a custom dyno tune where the TT APR flash was over $2600ish. For me to add another 40bhp to the V it is about $700 parts/labor to do a ZR1 cam which would put me at ~600rwhp.

I do miss the TT but having the M3 for track duty fills the void and if the M3 gets a chip/scrape, ect I don't sweat it. If it happened on the TT, I'd have a stroke!!! LOL.

On my last track outing, I got within 1/10th my best TT lap time at Roebling Road in the M3. Since then we removed another 120lbs, installed Alcon big brakes, did a full racing exhaust and a custom dynotune. Now granted, the M3 is a dedicated track car but I have maybe 25K in the car and ALL the mods and a set of tires for the weekend is $200 (Conti scuffs) where it cost me $1600/set for the TT to last 5 track days.

same thing here...had modded 5.0 warranty ran out picked up a 2011 V Coupe myself.....what a great car these are. I looked for a white one but couldn't find one close by so went with Black. Just got my eibachs last week , going to have the install done soon . did you cut your springs in any way? I lot of people talk about cutting off 5 inches of coil in the front. Debating wether I should do it or not.
