how come this these cars are so fast up top but not competitive in the roll racing world? lots of power, huge motor, and rear engine. so why doesnt it compete with gtr's and tt g's??
Huge motor? Aren't TTG's 5.2 V-10? Ford GT is a 5.4 V-8. Traction seems too be an issue as the other 2 are AWD. The GT picked up 63 mph after the 1/2 mile, the others are lucky to pick up 40 on the last 1/2. Most of the roll races I've seen start around 60 mph, that may just be too low for the GT get all it's power down. On another note I haven't seen this particular GT run from a roll.

278, 283 or even 300+ doesn't seem out of the question BUT having it done at a (public) venue with GOOD video proof is what's makes it legit (or at the very least where people believe the number).
I just wish you guys would have put together a good in car vid of your run as this would not have ever clouded that run.
Notice when the 278 mph FGT runs they do it at a public event and have good video to back it up? No one ever questions their speeds.
You guys need to bring your FGT to the Houston Mile next year when they have it. Surface is smooth and good traction. Lay a number down there and no one will ever doubt you guys.
