short shifter

I just received a coupon from my local dealership for the Porsche short shifter. I would love to get some feedback from anyone who has installed this Porsche upgrade.

I don't have one on my TT, but my buddy does and I love the way it feels! The reason I didnt go with that set up was because I had heard when the car is cold it would be harder to shift and I live in Chicago well you know what I mean. The other reason is the 997 tt actualy needs the time to set up between the next gear. I hope I'm wrong? because that would be my next mod.

FWIW...I had the short shifter in my 2005 C2S and never really had any issues during the winter. It might have been a tad bit more notchy in really cold weather, but it warmed up really quickly.

This has been covered on several previous posts, but in summary, the SSK is a great upgrade...enhances the driving experience, although it is a little "tight" for the first few thousand miles.

Yep, it works great! Go for it! And in the very unlikely event you don't like it you'll have the parts to go back to the original.

I had it in my 07 and had NO second thoughts about ordering it in my 08. Would not order a car without it.
