Hello everyone! I have been looking for the right Porsche for 3 years, so I have decided to order one instead. 08 997TT with all of the goodies. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Paid the $5,000 for a spot and have everything dialed in except the color. It will be a version of Red, (Guards Red appears to orange for my taste) (Pure Red is a little closer) which one I am not sure (possible custom). Dealer showed me GTS Red for the new 09 <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Cayenne</st1:place></st1:City>. They are supposed to get me a sample sent over. Does anyone know about this color. Possible March Build to be ready for my 40th B-Day! Can an X-50 or 51 package be put on this car, or should it? Can be done at factory? Satellite Radio and Radar detection, done at factory? Dealer kind of vague.<o:p></o:p>
European Delivery sounds appealing, any advice?? More questions to follow.<o:p></o:p>

Congradulations! I don't know much about GTS red. But, I do believe you can order the turbos -paint to sample- which mean you can order the car with a special color. The dealer will have more info. on that. I don't know if the X-50 package is available yet. But, the aftermarket can get you a lot more power for less money. Satellite radio and radar can be installed by the dealer. But, you can find good companies, outside the dealer, for less money. Any more question please pm me.

The Cayenne GTS red is very nice but if you could go for Aston Martin Toro red it would be even better and has a deeper texture.

Thank you very much for the replys, that is the kind of info that I am looking for. Can I get a physical sample of the toro red. I have been taking the plates around the dealers parking lot and checking the colors in every light. That is what I should be getting from Atlanta is a large paint chip.

Paint to sample is fine, but beware, the deadline for any '08 paint to sample orders is Feb 1, 2008. If you have a March build, you may be beyond the factory deadline, and the car could be considered for a later build into '09.

Guards is stunning (I'm a Guards guy). Check the newer Ruby Red as well.

Like you I'm an admirer of red cars. I almost ordered a guards red car, but after seeing the color in different lights I felt it had to much orange in it. I now have a blue car, but I'm always on the lookout for different shades of red. I would suggest, if you're considering a paint to sample, to check out the red on a Hummer. Distasteful as that sounds it is about as red as red gets. I drive by the local Hummer dealer nearly every day and the color seems to "wear" well in different lights.

Thank you all again for the input. I will confirm the paint to sample deadline. Also, It was suggested to me that I should get the car and "drive it" before I do anything as far as tunning since its my first turbo. After that, what do you all think, manafold, a chip, short shifter,x-50, x-71, or any other items single or as a total package. Not sure who is qualified to touch it here in CO execept the dealer.
