New 997 Owner Here

Hi,

I purchased a 2007 Porsche Turbo on November 2. See sig for some specs. It is the best car I have ever owned. Previously, I drove a 2006 Brabus B55 (Brabus enhanced Mercedes SLK55 AMG). I will post pictures of the new 997 within the next few days. The picture in my avatar is nearly identical to the car i purchased but not my actual 997.

Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum.

Take care,

Barrister

Sorry. That was a typo. Should have read "Aluminum" foot pedals. I have changed it now.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Pictures coming soon.

I am strongly considering doing the Techart ssk (short throw gear shift). Is this a good option? It sounded like a lot of fun. I am just learning to drive a manual again so I am a bit rusty. Would it still be a good idea? Do you guys think Techart is better than the dealer. I know Claus Ettensberger - the guy who owns the Brabus shop in Newport Beach that also does all the Techart stuff (I think Claus is the exclusive North American distributor for Techart but I could be wrong) - personally and have always liked their work. What do you think?

Thanks for all the help and advice!

Welcome aboard, very nice car. The short shifter is a must have in my opinion. The SSK was not availble when I ordered my car so I went with the factory kit.
