Quite A Shock . . .
Quite A Shock . . .
So I decided to take my car to Techart in Newport Beach and get the short shifter. To my suprise, the car already has the Porsche Sport Shifter (XCZ) already installed! My dealer never mentioned it. It actually explains a lot. I thought the shifter was a bit notchy and mechanical. I couldn't imagine the throw getting any shorter.
At least it saved me $1,000.
I had my dealer order the carbon illuminated door entry panels. I saw them on a friends 997TT and was very impressed. What do you guys think of them?

I thought the stainless steel entry guards were the only ones that were illuminated and not CF?

Jason,
Do you know who would have the best $ for the CF illuminated sills?
I definitely think that you'd be able to get the best price from Sunset Porsche. Email eric at EricSvaren@sunsetimports.com or call at 503 641 8600. I don't work for them just so you guys know. Just a very happy customer of theirs. They've got the best prices around for Porsche parts from what I've found.
And, yes, I have the stainless steel version. I sort of wish I got the CF version but I'm satisfied with mine enough not to make the switch.
I couldn't tell you what would be involved in wiring the illuminated lights since I've never done it but I imagine that it wouldn't be too hard.
