Wanted to buy 42 HD Plasma
Hey Duane, a friendly heads up... now would be a great time to start visiting ur local best buys and look for open items.... they are almost 'literally' a steal as you can score one for almost 50% off and its brand new, just mounted on the wall for display! Good luck
According to slickdeals you can get a Panny 42" for just under $1k at Frys or NewEgg - http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthr...ghlight=plasma or at Sears for $850 http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthr...ghlight=plasma

What do i ask for open box or something or are you talking about the ones they already have on display. I'd be very weary of a floor model because they are on and running 24/7.
The Sears deal ended on the 24th...no longer there...

I dont see any refurbs on the site?
i had a philips refurb and it was a mediocre picture at best for the 107 days it lasted.
90 day warranty.
philips quoted me $2100 ish to replace whatever part it was.
tv was 800 refurbed i think.
i have a panasonic now, which is a way better picture and knock on wood has lasted much longer than 107 days.
check consumer reports and some other online plasma review places. you can't go wrong with panasonic for the price.
my friend got in on the $850 deal at sears. dead now, but i've seen similar deals. 6th avenue or something like that. one of the few legit nyc internet sites.

Buy one of these. Fujitsus are some of the best made, and the price is right. I paid $4500 for the first plasma I owned a few years ago. My prices have fallen.
