HP dv9540us - 17", Intel Duo 1.5GHz, 2G Ram, 240GB Dual HD - Asking $850

*****SOLD*****

I've sold a few of these on the forum already... this is my last one. I was keeping it for my wife, but we ended up going with a MacBook Pro... my credit card is still bleeding... (almost $4k)!?! Anyways, I'm asking $850.

It's hardly used... 2~3 months old. I have all the original packaging, software, etc. I don't know how much shipping is, so add $20. Local pickup would be great if you're in SoCal.

Here are the specs:
HP Pavilion dv9540us
Intel Core 2 Duo Procesor T5250 (1.5GHz)
17" WXGA+ High-Def BrightView Widescreen Display
240GB Dual HD
2048MB DDR2 SDRAM
Intel Pro/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection
LightScribe Supre Multi 8X DVD+_RW w/ Double Layer Support
5-in-1 Digital Remote
Mobile Remote Control
nVidia GeForce 8600M GS w/ 256MB DDR
Windows Vista
HP Webcam built-in
Fingerprint Reader
etc...

Hey AI... what's up! Yeah, it's the exact same one. In fact, I ended up keeping my dv9540us as well... which is what I'm typing on!

Anyways, someone had asked what additional software was installed... I purchased and installed MS Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint.

This one also has cracked/downloaded copies of Adobe Suite CS2 (Illustrator, ImageReady, Photoshop, Reader), as well as Dreamweaver MX.

do I have a 20 inch? or a 17 inch? my wife loves it and uses it mainly for email and word processing.

I picked up marc's dell 13inch for my daily needs.

what is she using the macbookpro for? I love my macs but for portability... the dell is best and cheaper.

I love iphoto, imovie....

how to get a copy of cs2?

thanks again.

Sorry to hear about the blank screen... but glad HP took care of it. FWIW for those interested, both I, family members, and friends have this laptop without issues. And this laptop is still not registered with HP yet, so it's ready for the new owner.

It's a 17". And a buddy torrent'd CS2 and gave it to me a while back.

As for MacBook Pro, my wife's a graphic designer, and owns her own company... she was using a iMac (desktop) and PC laptop, but now, we're consolidating to just the MacBook Pro so she can be remote when we travel.

Two weeks earlier and I'd have been all over it, my ThinkPad just arrived though. Wifey would love this but it's a little too soon after Christmas for that unless you want a part exchange on a Dell!
