Cool My Canadian-build American Muscle.

The ongoing build!

1967 Chevrolet Camaro.

Car was originally a 327/210hp car with a Powerglide. Was finished in Royal Plum with Parchment interior. No RS or SS or Z28, she was a plain jane coupe.

When I got the car I was 14 and it was a driving project. Had the original 327 with old-time mods (camel hump heads, headers, intake, carb, exhaust, etc) and a TH350 trans. Cosmetically as you can see below it was in orange primer and had 14" Cragar SS wheels with the old style offset that stuck the tires about 3 inches out from the fender

Over the next 5 years the car has be an ongoing project, where every piece has come off, been replaced or refinished and put back on. At one point all interior was out, front subframe off, bottom-side to bare metal, and body to bare metal. It has been a long process and there a few more finishing touches to do (audio system for example). Hoping to get some better pics this driving season. Enjoy!

Body:
Down to bare metal, shaved most emblems, all bumpers and trim rechromed, 2" cowl hood (with working cowl induction system), painted in Corvette Admiral Blue (Dupont paint).

Footwork:
17" American Racing Hopsters (rear wheels custom offset)
275 rear, 245 front BFG KDW tires
Hotchkiss drop springs and swaybars
Baer Front disc conversion (crossdrilled/slotted)
Weld-in frame-connectors
Cal-Tracs awaiting install

Engine:
406ci naturally aspirated small-block Chev
Aluminum AFR 195 heads
Isky cam
Roller rockers
All forged Scat rotating assembly
Forged KB Pistons
Hooker Headers
Electronic exhaust cut-outs
(Nitrous coming soon)
Est. power - 515hp/500tq

Drivetrain:
TH350 Trans with shiftkit
Gearvendor overdrive system (makes car a 6spd auto)
Shortened driveshaft
4.10 Eaton Posi rearend

Interior:
2003 Honda black leather heated/power seats (front and back)
Dash/doorsills exterior color matched
Stewart Warner whiteface gauges
2007 Nissan Altima console modified
Grant Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel
Lokar shifter/bezel
Lokar Pedals
20% Tint

You have nooo idea! The console was a bbtch but came out great, the rear seats are an ongoing process. Gonna have to shave some of the foam from the bottom portion to correctly sit on the transmission tunnel. Still have to run the seat belts for the back as well.

Center console to begin with took about 3 months to get all the pieces from the dealer, went through quite the episode to do it. Lots of mods to the back to get it to sit right, trimming of the sides, modification of the seat heater button holes to fit my Honda ones, and it doesn't butt up perfectly to the dash which causes an issue. Without it being on the factory Nissan dash it caves in a bit which makes the hidden door mechanism not work. So, some crafty bracing, cutting, modding, etc. But after it is all said and done, I bet I'm the only one in the world with it.

That is simply an elegant restoration. Why can't they make them this beautiful anymore. You've got a keeper to be envied by all.
