Where to anodize wheels?

I am considering having a set of wheels anodized. Any suggestions on where to go?

Why anodized and not painted? If you have them anodized, almost any metal finishing business can do it. Anodizing is also tough to remove, so if you want a color change, its alot of work. Unless you really know what anodizing is and the purpose of it, you should paint or powdercoat them.

I am considering getting the wheels in gold. I assume an anodized finish would give a better result than paint or powdercoat given the color?

I think it would look cool, but Ive seen gold painted finished that look great. If you want the wheels to look like real gold, anodizing would work good.

Marchesini wheels are painted, not anodized.

anodized colors, err rather tints, are light and nearly transparent. i'd paint with a nicely applied clear.

Thanks for that info. Maybe I'll paint or powdercoat instead. Seems like much less of an ordeal than anodizing.

anodizing

Anodized aluminum is tough and will not scratch liek paint. It is nearly permanent.

It is NOT a tint and will be a true color. I think Boxzing may be referring to a chrome overlay (like black chrome)
