Wow, I just saw this. I've been heads down working all days and wow, that is crazy. Anyone know what he died from yet? There seams to be little information about this floating around this afternoon.

Wow that is a shock. I had the chance to meet him a few years back when I worked in the industry. He's a very outspoken guy and an asset to the automotive community. I wonder how this will change their company.

 

Fortunately he had built a pretty solid corporate structure so chances are the company will be fine. But there's always that chance that a bit of the "soul" is gone and their products may suffer, but I guess we'll see.

wow so sad, he built some amazing cars, and seemd to be a pretty stand up guy

 

WOW...I enjoyed his reality show and he was old school man. He will totally be missed.

 

That sucks... The show was pretty cool... However he did seem to be a big ***** to everyone that worked for him. Maybe that's just the way that the editing of the show portrayed him though.

 

Yeah, it seemed that way on the show, but that's TV. I've also heard people who've met him talk about what a jerk he was in person, but I prefer not to pass judgement on people until I have either met them face to face or had some kind of dealing with them.

As an inspiration and motivator of hot rod builders everywhere, he will certainly be missed.

 

Well, 2yrs ago I had paid in full for some GT5 wheels on my Pantera, and waited 7months to get what was supposed to be a 1month deal. I called and never would get an answer and the attitude was "if you dont want it someone else will".

What goes around comes around............
