Emblem "turbo" vs "911 turbo"

What do you think?
I just got info on bumperplugs.com from one of the other members (thanks!).
I am not real sure I want to do this.
I always liked the millennium edition "911" emblem.
I was thinking of doing the "911 turbo".
Problem is that the "911" in chrome costs $350
The "turbo" is available from bumperplugs for only $26.95 in Chrome.

So, I can get another special color (essentially body color - any color except chrome) for both for $119 each.

I just think it sort of strange that a 997TT comes with a simple "turbo" emblem and nothing else to signify the type of car (maybe there is a subtle point to this that I am missing) I just don't want to come across like "Mustang" owners that have a monster sticker on the windshield "MUSTANG".

Your thoughts as 911 owners would be greatly appreciated.

Interestingly, I was thinking of doing the opposite. I am thinking of taking the "Turbo" emblem off of the back. I think it detracts from the look of the car. Also, I don't know that it is important to tell people that it is a "911". Those that will understand what a 911 is will know, without the emblem, that your car is a 911.

Ditto - i took the badge off of mine. Folks that know Porsches will know what it is and I don't worry about the others.

Its one of the most iconic car shapes in history, no need to tell anyone its a 911.

Trust me, it came off right when I got home!!
So with the freakin license plate frame.
I hate it when dealerships do that!
If they want me to continue to advertise for them, give me a discount on the car or at least some accessories? then I might keep it on for a month or so. But free advertising on my car? I don't think so...

I always tell the salesman, I won't sign the paperwork if it has a decal. They put on the frame but that's an easy remove.

Try getting one painted the color of the car (bumperplugs.com). It changes the whole look of the car.

Right on,Steve.
While my dealer was ' helping me' with the specs on my order, and asking about crests,or even illuminated 'turbo' door entry ,I was busy looking for the NO LOGO incognito option.
