The wait is over...GT silver TT & Pics
Hi,
picked up my new car today, and so far very impressed. It had done 20 KM prior to me getting my hands on it, which seems like a sensible figure.
Very happy with the exterior colour choice, as that decision was pretty tough for me. Interior is equally as impressive, and again very happy with the safe choice of black.
Very happy with the level of contrast the aluminium extras i chose give to the interior. The finish is of a high standard as expected.
I managed to screw up the child car seat order, thinking the one i ordered was compatible with the isofix preparation !. I have the air bag disable function fitted which is great.
Ordered the silver crest from Bumperplugs and it looks great, and also the dension component works well so far wit the PCM.
The seats are pretty tight for my muscular frame...yeah right..read overweight !. A diet is in order. I would imagine the side bolsters will wear pretty quickly.
A great driving position is possible with the adjustable seats and steering wheel. Pretty good visibility whilst on the move too. Not so sure about these auto dimming mirrors tho, which will take some getting used to for me personally.
The power is fantastic. It has an abundance of performance available in every gear, as expected. I will leave the technical aspects to the experts on here, as i am a mere novice, but suffice to say i have a rather large smile present with the go pedal depressed. Respect will be in abundance whilst in the seat too.
So far happy with the sounds, smell and feel of the car. Its my daily driver so going to put some miles on it an enjoy the experience !.
Intially had a deposit down on a GT3, and was a little upset not to get an allocation, however i now feel that the TT is better suited to my requirements.
Have some exterior pics attached, and will try to post some interior shots but my camera work is very average, so bear with me please.
A great day for me and my little boy picking the car up, one i hope he remembers for a long time.
Rgds.

Congratulations and Mabrook on a beautiful car! I know you will enjoy it. Mine is due for delivery in July and time is passing very slowly. Is the Porsche dealer in Dubai still there on the right on Shaikh Zayed road as you come in from Abu Dhabi? I lived in Abu Dhabi for 7 years (left there in 2004, worked for ADCO) and I used to stop at the dealer there once in awhile when I would come over to Dubai. A very nice showroom. I really enjoyed the UAE and would love to go back some day.
That TT should be fun on those wide open desert highways! I'll bet your young son is already liking it too. Another future Porsche owner?

Hi,
a few interior pics.
Thanks for all the kind words.
Turbo John, yes the showroom is still on SZR, extremely busy too. If you left in 04 you would not believe the changes since then. Wish i had bought some property back in 03 when i arrived !!.
Looked through the manual for the break in guidance. There is no mention of a specific RPM like i have seen mentioned by some. It says avoid high RPM, especially when cold and for the first 3000 KM. Just interested in your thoughts and ideas.
