we found a crack in the middle of a spoke on one of my wheels
no idea how it got there
never damaged the wheel, the lip is totally round, etc
what is the actual process to fixing this ?

however, i dont want to drive around on a spare for 3 weeks until it comes in

wheel repair is done by welding the cracks. if you want a crude job, you may be able to get a temp fix quickly. otherwise, it usually takes a couple of weeks for a wheel repair due to back up of jobs these shops do.
alternatively, i'd look on craigslist or ebay or ask dealer if they have a take off OEM one.

That's a tough call. I know what you mean by not wanting to ride with a spare, especially with how nice your car is, but if you're daily driving it and if the roads in NY are **** (are they btw?) I would not want to risk my safety and the rest of the car.
Strikes me as a mfg defect. What does the MFG say? Hard to abuse a spoke without telltale damage to the rim.

vince explained that this is common when a wheel is improperly finished. ie heat treated the wrong way etc
i decided not to take any chances, and ordered 4 new centers
