? Late braking ? ... that's "almost forgot to brake" for how far off the line he shot ... but I'm not mocking anyone, as I've misjudged more than a few corners in my days and didn't recover as well. This recovery looked stable, glad there wasn't any damage.
Thanks for sharing.

Definitely could have ended worse, but glad it didnt. Been on the worse end of something like that myself, no fun lol. Great to see those beauties are still safe.

Was this a timed event or an HPDE? I have not been to many HPDEs that allowed passing in the corners unless you were in a racer or instructor group.

Ehh, that was close. I'm happy he didn't have to buy new Techart front!

In most countries enthusiasts like myself or clubs arrange their own track days with suitable and safe rules they can decide themselves. Not allowing to pass in the corners sounds stupid, unless there's unskilled/unsafe people driving around (in which case I wouldn't want to participate). Especially if you have a lower hp car that would definitely take some fun out of the driving. With a Turbo it is relatively easy

Then "enthusiasts" like you probably won't be driving at any PBOC, PCA or BMW CCA HPDEs in the USA. I instruct for PCA and BMW CCA and over the past 15 years I have not participated in an HPDE sponsored by any of these entities that allowed passing in corners in anything but instructor and race groups. Correct me if I am wrong but I can't remember a Viper Days or TracQuest event that permits it either.
