Need car advice...
I have a 2006 BMW Z4M Coupe, it has 34k miles, Imola Red exterior/Imola Red Interior. I love the car, its quick and handles well. BUT I ran into something today at local dealership that got my eye, and I test drove it and was blown away by how much faster/louder/more fun it was to drive. A 2006 black on black Chevy C6 vette, B&B exhaust, K&N cold air, 6spd, navi, fully loaded. Now that car is about $35,000. I am in a dilema as to if I should trade my M for this vette.
GRANTED I know this is the American muscle forum, but please try and be as unbiased as possible. I would like the pros and cons and what you would do.
Thanks

Well, if the Mazda behind the Z4M is your daily driver, then it comes down to which "toy" you think you'll enjoy on the weekends, and at gatherings or possibly track.
Sometimes just having a new toy tends to thrill you because it's just new. But a Corvette is in a different league; it seems to compare continually with the Porsche 911 turbo's.
The thrill in a Vette won't likely go away as might a Z4M... by your own admission, you were thrilled by it! And the fact you're even tempted probably means it's time to move on.
It's just human nature to "enjoy" having power. Nobody will blame you but you will probably get some dyed-in-the-wool BMW owners that might seem you're a bit queer trading in an "M" car for an American car. As the old song goes ' you can't please everyone so you got to, please yourself.'
I was in a different pickle but similar in some respects; I was at a point where I could either buy a Z4, OR build a replica Cobra. I think 400+HP was enough to convince me which direction I wanted.

I'm a big fan of BMW but the bang for the buck you get out of the C5/C6 Vettes are 2nd to none. The parts/service and modifications are endless and they get good fuel economy at I believe 17/27. If you enjoy doing cruses and get together the Vette community is strong across the county.
If you enjoy doing some work on your car the forums for the C5/C6 have endless info and tricks to fix or modify you car and the members are ready to help. corvetteforum.com is the forum I enjoy the most.

Wow, you didn't waste any time!
I'll go ahead and chime in, since I previously owned a C5 and now have the Z4 M Coupe. I think the Z is a fun car and as you said, it handles very well, however I do believe the Vette is a better car overall. I was going to go into the details, but no need to now. I think you'll be very happy with your new purchase!
BTW- I'll probably look at another Vette when I get back to the states
