Hello,

Went to the Belmont show last Sunday and just got around to editing the picture now.

Let me know what you guys think...I am new to the photography thing.

nice pictures except some of these cars on jacks are hideous

 

I grew up on that track. My uncles we trainers. I mucked more stalls than I would like
to admit. I lived in Elmont until I was 12 Lets not even talk about OTB where my grandmother used to take me....lol

What do you mean "on jacks"?

Of course a lot of the cars are project cars that people slowly complete in their own driveways so they are not all show winners.

This one for example:



Wasn't much of a looker...but it had a big block and was an absolute animal. You could hear the fuel pump from across the parking lot haha.



Haha. That was actually my first time to Belmont (not that I went to the actual track or anything).

A few of those same cars were at the Barris event at the Aviation Museum. The original Batmobile, Night Rider, Monkees, Dragula, Starsky & Hutch, Ghostbusters, XXX, etc. The legend himself was there too and a bunch of custom cars in the parking lot.

 

No way haha. Thats the owner/builder of the Lincoln on hydrolics.

Small world. I'm orginally from Rockville Center and my grandparents lived in Elmont. Right off of Hempsted Turnpike.

 

Funny we were the first house next to the highay on Dutch Broad way. We are about the same age too. But ive been in Florida since I was 12
