Hurricanes Suck A**...!!

Hope all my fellow Texans are okay from the aftermath of Ike...thought I'd share a few pics of some 75+ year old trees we "HAD" on our property. We lucked out big time though. No damge to the house, garage (first place I looked after the storm) or carport other than missing shingles.

Our hearts and prayers go out to those less fortunate. We still have a house and business so I really can't complain about anything. Just some inconvenience. Still no power but it could have been so much worse...

AFTER

Glad to see you are OK, Short Bus...I mean Dennis

I too, was lucky here in Sugarland.

I am not going to post the numbers here in a public forum, but several of my students have been called up for service in the state/national guard.

The media is not reporting the death toll but it is tragic.

This hurricane was a major catastrophy.

We came out pretty good too. Two of our palms leaning on our fence. No roof damage. I don't think I want to sit through ones of these for another 25 years. We only lost power for a little over a day. I don't remeber Alicia packing that much wind force but I was a little younger back then too. I had some neighbors that did no far so well. 4 house down, the whole side of their house came off. Bricks and siding. You could see right in to their attic. I am sure that was a scary night.
I sure hope everyone came out OK!!

LOL...thanks Sean.

Yes the county coroner for Chambers County gave us a figure over the weekend for just the Oak Island/Annuhuac area and it's not pretty. Can only imagine what the total is going to be after Crystal Beach, Boliver, Galveston and other surrounding areas are figured in. Very sad for alot of folks...

I just don't understand the reasoning that people decided to stay in those areas with all the
catostophic warnings that went out...

Glad to see ya'll made it through OK...

Anyone see the picture of the damaged garage with a Ferrari and another car under a car cover parked in it. The other car might have been a lambo. That would suck.

What would ever give you that idea??

Don't get me started with them. I have given them several options to make me go away. The lastest was about a month ago. I got no responce back. O well not costing me anything but $7.99 a year to renew the domain name.
