Canon 70-200 2.8 IS
I have about 10 lenses and have not used this one in so long I think I should sell it and get a 100-400..I bought it new less than 2 years ago, us warranty, all boxes and blank warranty card. Condition is as new other than some marks on the lense hood.
$1500 plus shipping and PayPal
Price is firm so please don't offer less (but feel free to offer more!)

I have 10 lenses now and want a 100-400 which I am ordering tonight..Have not been using the 70-200 so thought I'd let it go..My % of winners is very high with this lense..
I would offer to trade you surfboards again, but I don't think you're a very good surfer and I want my boards going to a good home.

I have this lens and I absolutely LOVE it! I hope you don't mind if I post some from mine. If you do, let me know and I'll pull them down.

These are all from a little XTi also, imagine what it would be like on a nice camera! Hope these help the sale. Why are you selling it?

you convinced me...lol..
Lense is not for sale..
sorry Super D!
Since I bought the 70-200 F4 IS, I wasnt using this much..but now...with the 50D and soon the 5D II, it makes sense as you say, over the 100-400. I just bought (again) a 1.4 TC and probably will get the 2.0..
Can't sell this lense, what was i thinking! lol

Good choice!
The big guy is a little soft for me at 400. The 70-200 + 2x is similar but gives you a razor sharp 70-200 2.8 as well. And with the 1.4x, it is just perfect, especially for a crop body.

Mark, I was getting ready to give you the speech of a lifetime.
Seriously, have you considered keeping the 70-200 and just adding on the 100-400? Just a thought, I own both and couldn't live without them BOTH.
Sell off some of the lenses you don't use as much?
Tell me if you happen to have a spare 300mm 2.8 IS on hand. :-D
Night sports = 70-200mm
Day games = 100-400mm
Can't beat it (for the price).

Can you give some advice on the TC's?
I was at B&H the other day and asked about them the man helping me said "stay away".
His explanation was that it really ruins the clarity of shots.
If you can throw out some recommendations to me, as well as post some pictures of your shots with it, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First advice is as much as I love BH, don't waste your time talking to the salesmen, this is usually the case with all salesmen anyway.
The 1.4 teleconverter takes the lense and mulitples the focal length to 1.4 times. This comes at the expense of 1 full stop. So the 1.4 TC on a 2.8 lense will make the lense a 4.0 with a focal length of about 300 mm. The 2.0 TC comes at the expense of 2 stops but doubles focal length.
There are some other tradeoffs but to me, it's a no brainer to use the TC in some situations.
