My GT2 at mid ohio this weekend
I had the opportunity to take my GT2 to mid ohio this weekend. I am in utter disbelief of just how good this car is on the track. Although this was my first time at mid ohio as well as my first time with my GT2, I started getting the hang of it after a couple of sessions. Initially, I was braking way too early as the PCCB’s were absolutely fantastic. In fact, I think my instructor was starting to **** bricks when I started testing the brakes at threshold and asked me to back off and take it easy. The car blew everything away in the straightaways and was superb around the turns. I made absolutely no adjustments to my car. I drove the car to mid ohio, did two days of DE, and drove it back. What an absolute blast! I am hooked. I can’t wait to get back to the track! I will try to post a few pics later when I get them from my friends.

Great weekend David. I am glad to see how much you enjoyed the weekend. There are a FunDays scheduled October 24/25 at Nelson Ledges. The Berry's and Cole's will likely be there. If my schedule permits will be there too. I will email pictures of the GT@ on track as soon as I get them off my phone.
Just remember; keep the rubber side down.
I saw your white GT2 this weekend. Very pretty car.
Wish you'd been running with me in A instead of D group. Can't imagine those 924's in D giving you much competition.
It's much more fun when you're not smoking everything in your group. This weekend the only car I could have fun with was Chuck Price in his 996 GT3. He handles that thing quite well in the turns.

Yeah me too. But it was my first time at mid ohio so they automatically put me in D group. Anyways, it was fun to lap the competition!

Having recently taken my car for the first time I can certainly relate! Ive tracked other cars but nothing has come close to the overall impressive track experience a stock Porsche 997gt2 can provide!

Sorry it took so long to post these but better late than never

Too fast to keep in the frame!

Not bad for a novice (I'm talking about my photographic skills).

Fantastic!!!!! I only wish I had been behind the wheel. I hear the 997 GT2 front ends stay planted unlike the older 996 cars where often you find yourself looking towards the sky. What better way to find out than what you did. Roll On with it!!!!!! simply awesome.
