997 GT2 intake system vs 997 TT intake system.......

Guys any thought? Why the GT2 intake is so special? The idea of tuning is to use bigger plenum and ports.
Why the most power full 996 tt are running with N/A intake system originally from GT3 which is much bigger?
I'm running now with 997 GT2 intake but I didn't notice nothing special abut it.
I'm running with 0,2 Bar higher boost compering to my ex setup but the temp is much much higher.
So what is all about?

Ps.My electonic guy suggest to use the turbo one.

Are you talking about the expansion manifold on the GT2? I think it's a sham.

I don't understand why they bother to boost pressure 1.4 to have only 1 bar in the combustion chambers? Adding additional heat to a turbocharged motor is bad, especially VTGs. When the turbos boost to 1.4 bar, where is all the heat going? Even if the expansion manifold is cooling the air, the heat will still saturate the turbos housing.

marketing gimmick is my guess. You have to be able to justify selling a 2wd version of the TT for 80% more money!

Karol, how much temperature difference are you seeing after changing to the GT2 induction intake?

Actually, I would say the GT2 is 80% more car. It's night and day compared to a Turbo. The difference is more than just the power, look at the suspension differences alone.

many say the GT2 is more like a GT3RS with a turbo motor. Subtract the RS price from the GT2 and you should get the cost of the turbo motor. Even then the pricing premium is enormous

The GT2 suspension is actually even more advanced than the RS. Mounting points and geometry have been tweaked even further.

Value is all subjective I guess. The 997 GT2 is really an amazing car, and the more I drive it, the more I am dumbfounded. Try one, but I warn you... you'll wanna buy one!
