Introducing V.I.O. PVS - The Most Advanced And User Friendly In-Car Video System.

We have seen them all, but none struck a chord like this one.

The POV is a fully integrated point-of-view video system that's waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant. The system includes a mountable camera head, built-in video recorder, wireless remote and software for managing your point-of-view videos. The wide-angle POV camera lens opens up the viewing screen dramatically: creating a wider, more stable point-of-view experience for the users.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:
POV Recorder with LCD
Wide-Angle Camera head
LVDS cable
POV Manager software
Wireless remote control
1GB SD card
USB cable
Analog A/V cable
Mounting accessories
AA batteries
Carrying case

We are also currently working on integration for use with Traqmate systems as well!

Please visit out web site for comprehensive information regarding the new VIO system. PLEASE WATCH OUR VIDEO.

Those work really well. I was on Gumball and Dimitry who is a producer for the Jackass crew was using one on both Dunn and Bam's Go Karts when we made a stop to race. The video was amazing. These are top notch!

If anyone is curious how this camera does in a high vibration environment, take a look at this video.

My buddy and I took our shop camera to the local indoor kart track.

We intentionally mounted it as poorly as possible just to see what the results would be like.

got one of these units and it is pretty awesome. I mounted it to the bumper of my 944 turbo track car. Since the wiring and unit are tucked in the engine bay, the built in mic picked up the engine sounds without any wind buffeting. The best part was the ease of downloading the video clip to my Mac and uploading to the net. It took minutes to complete vs spending an hour or more to feed a DV tape to the computer, processing and then conversion to a playable quicktime format.

Looks like a great product, from the videos the build quality looks solid as well.

What's the maximum SD memory card supported for this unit and for video recording?

Finally, what's the video quality comparable to from the camera + codec compression?

I know the SD memory is at least 4GB, which gives 2 hours at "high" level of recording quality. It is not HD, but it is a very clean 720x480. Files are written in .avi files under MPEG-4 format.

Gene,

The footage and sound are awesome.

The pavement changes make it appear like you are breaking the sound barrier!

Someone gave me a negative rep point for starting this thread.

The comment section just says "a".
