Illinicane is infamous around these parts
Need your suggestions

I will probably order an 09 Turbo early next year.

I have owned a 996 Carrera, and a 997 C4s. Loved both rides, and have always thought the turbo looked the best. Coupe not Cab by the way.

Before doing anything, thought I would check in with the pro's on the site and ask what you would do before ordering, and what to absolutely order or not waste any $$ on.

Thanks and look forward to the dialogue!!

I have had 8 Porsches including two C2S cars and my current Turbo .
The normally aspirated car is very different in that it's 2 wheel drive and seamless acceleration offer a different appeal than the more luxury style power car of the Turbo .

That's my stock comparison . However when modded the Turbo takes on an entirely new dimension . In my case the jump to 700 Hp offers this combination of comfort with immense punch . It's just so unreal to me that even after one 1.5 years I still gaze at this car in awe .

So here's my thoought.
If you want the something very special to drive buy and modify a 997tt but no matter which you buy I do feel you will enjoy the car tremendously .

Edit -
I misunderstood . I was not sure that you were 100 % certain on the Turbo . As for individual options the list is immense Since I bought my car off the lot rather than on order so my foucus primarily was on the aftermarket (suspension, aerokit, and engine) .

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but hopefully this helps...

I consider must have's for functionality for the 997:

1. Sports Chrono (is this standard now?)
2. LSD
3. PCCBs

PCCBs are under debate, but I really really like them, and for $8K, it seems steep, but it does hold it's value for resale or trade in the future.

You could probably go crazy on options...I think my 07 stickered at $122? I ended up at $148 after slashing my option list 7 times.
