As previously discussed, the GT-R has a speed limiter.

 

I think the result is null and void until they get a delimited GTR to go round the track,however that GT2 looked very composed and extremly fast.

 

Iam unclear on how a speed limiter would have affected that short circuit result unless it was set at 100mph or less!!??

 

I sure would hope a 200k+ car would own a 70k car around the track

 

112 mph - which is why they're asking Nissan to provide an unlimited car to settle which is the fastest around their "track".

Why is a car like that limited to a measly 112mph? I disagree with any top speed limiter but I recall ones that were set at 160-170mph. Speeds that are rarely or ever attained on public roads. This 112mph limiter does not even allow quarter mile testing!! They are not limited in US to my knowledge. What moron thought 112mph was a good speed to stop at?

 

All domestic-market cars in Japan are limited to 180 km/h.
