I am just making sure I'm not crazy paying 100k over a TT for the GT2.

I only buy black cars, and this one is priced to sell. any thoughts ?

The GT2 has a much different feel than even a modded TT. I have owned a 997GT3, a 997TT (modded), and recently got some seat time in the Gt2. Of the 3 in stock form, I prefer the Gt2. Vs my modded TT I still would prefer a Gt2 by a very slight margin. I would be willing to pay maybe $30k more for a Gt2 than a TT, but beyond that I think the margin is hard to justify. By the same measure though, I would be willing to pay $10k max more for a 997GT3RS than a regular GT3.

Depends on what you're going to do with it. 0-110 mph, the Turbo and 2 have almost identical numbers. Above that, the 2 is a different car altogether.

Plus 1 and I add it corners like nothing I have seen on Porsche, it is a very strong car but nothing that cant be beat with mods on the other cars... IMO not worth the 100K extra

Sort of the same going on the Chevy camp with the new ZR1. The car is awesome, but for 50K over a standard Z06 many just don't see the car as being worth it. The car is hands down better than a Z06!! 20K in a Z06 and it will run circles around any stock ZR1.

The same applies here IMO.

The GT2 is the easiest car that I have ever driven fast either on the highway or on the track.
On the street the car is total confidence with no fear.
On the track the car is total confidence with no fear.
All you need to change for the street is put front sway bar to second hole and the rear sway bar to third hole.
For track work same as above, add rims and Hoosiers and go have fun.

TT vs GT2

I feel it boils down to all wheel drive vs rear wheel drive. My friend is a race car driver and owns the GT2. He loves it and can use it to its full potential. I have a modified twin turbo that I can use safely with its all wheel drive. The all wheel drive system is more forgiving at the limit. People have commented on this subject with the 996's. If your a race car driver then get the GT2 for a more pure race car experience... if not then maybe the regular twin turbo. Good luck.

At this price level I would buy a new Gt2 over a used car.

I spent aboit this much to modify my 997tt .Now I haven't driven the Gt2 but I do love my car .

Sight unseen I have no idea what I would choose . The idea of a brand new stock Gt2 sure does sound good though .

For resale or investment the GT2 all the way.

yes there are!

Ah, the widow maker what a car and it takes a real driver to own one.
Its such a niche car that its really not comparable to a TT. Its certainly not one I want to be sitting in traffic for long periods of time in.
