Market for 07 TT
Are you looking to buy or to sell?
If you're a buyer, prices are really depressed now and it would be a good time to buy. For people who need cash, hard to justify a Porsche Turbo sitting in the garage. No one knows where the bottom is, but you can be sure one of the first things Obama is going to do is a huge stimulus package, so maybe the economy will get better, causing prices to go up, or at least, stop falling.

being in the market to buy a 07 tt i watched the riverside manhiem auctions today and saw 2 07 tt's go for $78 (22Kmi) & $84 (11Kmi). a few months ago they were going low $90's, so I'm definitely waiting until the new year to see if they drop to low $70's or hopefully the 08's will go into the $80-90's.

Any chance you can post manheim auction data? I presume we can't access this data unless you are a licensed dealer...
Thanks!

Auction results are great and all... BUT I have been going to the nations largest Manheim auction (FAAO) for the last 20 years and most of the cars are pretty beat. Don't think a virgin low mile example from an original owner is going to be had for 80'-90's anytime soon.

Yikes . This almost warrants a new thread titled "if you paid under 90K for a Turbo please stand up" . I would have lots of questions but despite my depreciation loss I would applaud their bargain --IF .. it really is a car without issues. That's a big IF though.

Fair point. Nonetheless, I am planning to use this data to help negotiate.
It is a silly statement to say all auction cars are beat. All used exotic dealers buy their cars from Auction or middle men that supply the auction. If you bought from one of these houses, you bought an auction car. Its like saying all cops are dirty.
Truth is these cars are tanking!
Nothing will help them recover except a massive reduction in inventory, to get that you need a real bottom.
Still don't think that new 09 is worth 40K less the day you drive it home in this market?
I bought an 09 2 weeks ago, made a very aggressive deal and walked away happy.
The used market will never really recover from this market.
MB new cars 25% off, 17% on one phone call with no negotiating.
BMW will give you anything you want.
Audi is giving a min of 8K back.
Nissan is dying and the GTR was a huge mistake both in marketing and in production.
If a warranty is not an issue, and these cars are bullet proof. Then wait 2 months, buy your 07 and call it a day.
If you want to buy a car that will be flat for depreciation then wait 2 months, buy an F430 coupe for 130K and call it a day.

^^^I just heard of a nearly new F430 available for $140k yesterday. Wow. Our local Porsche Dealer has cancelled all its television advertising for Q4. They own 4 dealerships and up til now used to run ads every day on all the channels. Even here where things are good on the employment front for the most part, times are tough.
