If power corrupts go EVT 700

The one thing I’ve found about owning a Porsche is how quickly one gets used to the power. As much as I loved my first, a 997 C4S, within six months I was complaining to my local dealer of loss of performance etc... Nothing wrong with the car of course, just my skewed perception of ‘what was fast’.
Then came my first Turbo ;-) now all would be well... Wouldn’t it? Well it was for a while. That is until I started reading forums and a world of possibilities was opened to me.
Deciding I wanted the EVT 700 tuning package I contacted Regal Auto Sport, the EVO distributors in the UK. I have to say I can’t recommend them enough, a really fantastic and knowledgeable service.
The car stayed with Regal for a week for hardware fitting and tuning. Dyno runs were also done in-house on their new Mustang AWD system. The car has now been returned, and yes its FAST
Really progressive power, if you want to poodle around town she drives like a pussycat. Get onto the open road (preferably a private air field ;-) and floor it and you better be ready, it’s insane! The torque in 6th is unbelievable I keep looking for the next gear.
I now have a smile on my face every time I go for a drive, and for me that’s what it’s all about. How long will that last, who knows. Now 900hp that sounds interesting.........
Some picks for your enjoyment

Cheers

Nick

I have to say that I agree . In my opinion this kit is the "must have" option for this car . Even beyond the power and torque as you describe is the linear acceleraton . It's so seamless that it almost feels like normally aspirated car (no lag , assertive throttle) and it just does not let up . Pull through one gear and the next just grabs and keeps running upward.

I could not imagine having this car without it . I am that happy with mine . Now I am not using aTubi exhaust . I also kept my Werks 1 intake . So mine is not a 100 percent true EVT700 system . It may be faster or slower and it's anyones guess but I am thrilled with it and would not change athing .

I swear the Martini colors are my favorite part of this car! Couldn't agree more. The first one with the tour bus is my desktop background. Motivation to study for finals, I suppose.

Nick,

did you downgrade yours turbines?
I have found on their web that 700HP kit is available for 997 TT, which use smaller exhaust housing.
