Pictures from a friend's wreck (speaks TONS about safety)
I friend of mine have a VERY bad wreck a few weeks ago. I thought I would post the pictures up here so you guys can see the incredible safety of these cars. She was in an SLK 230 when an 18-Wheeler did not see her. It changed lanes and smashed her between it and the guard rail. The only injury she had was a broken foot.

....wow, that is simply incredible im glad shes ok....16 wheelers are no joke my aunt got rear ended in her suburban and it was reduced to a size of a smart car....she's lucky to walk away from this especially slk is such a tiny car..
This is the second friend who has had this happen in the last year on the same highway. Both were thrown or of the car or the would have died. The other car that this happened to a few months ago was a Tahoe and it landed in a river after flipping. That friend was hurt much more severely but is 100% recovered now.
This is why I hate driving next to 18-wheelers
The first two pics are from after the car was flipped over. Here is how the car looked before it was moved.
Granted her lack of injuries is attributed more to sheer luck than that safety of the car but still imoressive none the less. She did make a few "rotations" before being thrown as best as she can remember.

There are a few things about these pictures that make me think they're fake.
In the second picture, the hood is where the windshield should be... so where does that hood just to the left (behind the car) come from? Certainly not the 18 wheeler. Also, it doesn't appear to have a single dent, yet it's detached from SOME car.
That hood in photo 2 to the left of the car, the bumper to the right, and the guy in the picture's boot seem to show up clearly, yet the tire tread on the front right tire is smudged (while it shows up clearly in the first picture.) Lazy photoshopping, or a camera with selective clarity?
18-wheeler on one side, guard rail on the other... and not a single scratch? Lots of crumples (and dirt), but no scratches?
Glad she's ok though.

I am not sure what that thing on the ground is. I think it is just some trash on the side of the road. It is not from her car I know. This happened in a very rural part of Mississippi and there is a lot of trash on the sides of the highways.
wow dude, thats a lil harsh calling these pics fake.
i dont think the OP would joke about his friend being involved in a huge crash, that's just something you don't joke about.
to the OP: hope your friend heals up quick and is able to get driving soon. accidents are no joke, always tough to bounce back from.

She asked what car she should get next and I said a Volvo. I figured a Volvo is basically a box to hold your airbags so it would be safe.
BTW, the only thing she wanted from her car was the Ole Miss license plate. There is the school spirit we all like the see. I think she will not be joining us cheering anymore though. Something tells me her stunting and tumbling career is over but she can still watch from the side.
But hey, they could be real and I'm just a hopeless skeptic. If the photos ARE real, the photog really should look into upgrading their camera or phone.
