CTS-V goes 11.85 @ 121
CTS-V goes 11.85 @ 121
Car has custom headers, exhaust, pulley and tune running on 20" PS2's:

with those mods I would expect better numbers than that! Good pass but not great by any means.........new AMG C63 is running 11.5's with a tune and DR's.

I agree that it isn't earth shattering since stock CTS-V's have clocked 12.1 @ 122 in Milan, Michigan. I would have expected a higher trap speed with the mods. Then again, it might just be that the stock headers and exhaust are pretty close to perfect already and thus an unnecessary mod for making power. Given that, the mods list could have just been a pulley and a tune and resulted in the same times.
This C63 that you're linking is NOT a tune alone. That car is also wearing Mickey Thompsons. This CTS-V on MT's would drop another .4-.5 seconds wearing those kind of drag-racing shoes. It's also a car owned by MHP which makes parts for AMG. I'm sure they've done dozens of passes to get that time since their livelihood depends on the results.

Maybe you need to read my post again (edited version) as I clearly stated a "tune and DR's" or Drag Radials for those of you who don't play well with others!
And I know Andy at MHP and have been working with him (see below) on tuning my IS-F so you're not telling me anything I don't already know.

Bottom line, that CTS-V should be running low 11's with tires......end of discussion!

So...you went back and edited your post after I commented on your post about DR's (see my post after yours which quotes your statement w/o that very important part)...then you go on to tell me that I don't play well with others. Hmmmm.
Oh snap. He also posted some crap in a 370Z vs Cayman thread in the Japanese section about how he beats twin turbo 350Z's all day long in his Toyota. Not saying he doesn't since the IS-F is no slouch and any idiot can push the pedal to the floor in an automatic. But there's just something in the way he words things that, hmmmmm, I don't know.

Did I say that? No, but anyone with half a brain knows if a car ran that time on crappy 20" tires it has alot more in it. Oh, and let's see some pics of your cars.
