997 TT exhaust - again (sorry!)

I asked in the associated topic (that seemed overwhelmingly to recommend AWE, CG or Europipe) about the Fabspeed systems which received no likes or dislikes mention. I had the Fabpseed system on my 07TT with absolutely no issues or dreaded CEL's coming on - or off - or on again, but I am getting concerned about reading how 'sensitive' the 08 and 09 cars are. Is this unique to Fabspeed, or are those with AWE, CG, blah, blah, blah also experiencing this annoyance in their 08 and 09 cars? If so, I'm going to pass on this entire exhaust swap notion. Thanks for any insight you guys can offer.

It's funny...a few years ago...everyone and I mean everyone was all about Fabspeed but they seem to have fallen out of favor. I have heard several people swapping it out as they were disastisfied yet others who seem to love them.

I can tell you I heard their new system on a 993TT and it was amazing sounding.

I have had an AWE on a "sensitive" '08 for about a year and have had NO problems or CELs of any kind. While sound is very subjective and in the "ear of the beholder," I can vouch for the engineering of the AWE not to cause any CELs.

As an option take a look at our system

Several customers have our system and have been happy.

No CEL issues either.

SchH III is infamous around these parts
FWIW, I had a Fabspeed exhaust on my 2007 turbo coupe and presently have the same Fabspeed on my 2008 turbo coupe. No CEL's were recorded on the 2007 and, to date, no CEL's on the 2008. It may also be of interest that the 2007 was a Tip (after two weeks with the Tip, my order was in the system for a 2008 manual) with no modifications while the 2008 was flashed (GIAC) immediately following delivery and the software updated last autumn with GIAC version 2.

I have had a Fabspeed exhaust on my '08 TT for a little over a year and have had absolutely no problems. I have really liked the sound and have no complaints. My .02

Thank you!

Thanks for all the prompt and informative responses. I have a 1500 mile used Fabpseed with NEW cats (replaced by Fabspeed for the previous owner). It came with several sets of tips (chrome and black chrome) and for less than half the price of new for the entire package, I might as well give it a try. Thanks again!
