Meet this Saturday, July 18th.

The meet is called Cupcake Meet. It's July 18th, 5-8pm at Huffines Park, 1600 Apollo Rd, Richardson, 75081.

A bunch of Corvette guys and I will be heading over and should get there ~530ish. Anyone else planning on going?

I was going to go for sure when I was asked to show, but I am not so sure now. I went over there yesterday and it didn't look like such a great place.

The park normally has 450-470 parking spots and now with construction is probably down to around 350-370. Then you add in the people who are not part of the meet who will be there that weekend and our parking will drop to around 300. The construction is all along the west side and there is some crap all around that area such as small rocks though that entire area of the parking lot even where there is no construction. I will for sure not be parking there.

If this meet ends up being huge there isn't going to be enough room for everyone. I will probably at least stop by and see what its like, but 5:30 all the way to 7 or so the sun will be killer and all the trees in the world won't help you. I will just play it by ear and see where it goes.

Interesting.. I didn't know all that. I've never been to this show, so I'm not too sure what to expect out of it.

We'll still head over that way. I'll take my camera and try to get some good pictures.

Yep that's another thing I hear which is really putting me off from going all together.

I will be at the Saturday morning meet in Plano, but this Richardson meet is really becoming iffy.

Yaa I wasn't intending on going until a bunch of other Vette guys said they would too. Judging by the flier, I figured it would be.

I wanted to go to the Saturday morning meet, but I'm flying back up to Philly to see my family that weekend.

No I am talking about the meet in Plano on the 18th. It is this weekend from 8 am to around noon. Park and Tollway (north east corner).

This is from the corvette forum:
I just drove over there, and the roads are not bad at all. I drove around the parking lot and on the west side they are doing some construction but its not bad. I'm not sure how many cars are showing, but the lot seems quite large. Apollo road itself is not that smooth, and has been patched in a few places. I would suggest a little caution on that road. Other than that it looks ok for our lowered cars.
Going by that, we're planning on being there ~530ish. Let me know if you guys are there.. I'll have my Arctic White 2000 Corvette with the N3RD license plates.

Peace,
Roy

Great to see some familiar faces from the corvette forums even though I am not on there. In the hour and a half I spent though I saw a ton of cars from some really nice ones to mostly ****. Though I will admit there were some very unusual setups there. Truly not my thing through so I will stick with the morning Plano meets and cars and coffee and maybe some other more tasteful meets/drives.
