HD VIdeo: Hans Dahlbäcks Garage with 997 GT2 700+ HP
Hans is wearing an MTM shirt... That's a little odd.
Explain that for me.
And what is the comment he makes at 39 seconds about the ECU???

Dahlbäck has been the MTM importer for Sweden for 10-20 years.
Also, MTM have helped out with the ECU I beleive. From what I understood just recently the 997 GT2 ECU has been unable to be modified. Earlier, it has not been possible able to be opened, as I understood. Earlier, the raised boost pressure etc. resetted itself after 1-2 s. However now it is changed. And also alot of hardware is changed as well as he stated. We wil see how it will run soon.

Forget the GT2, the Golf RSI is the real monster; 1000HP & 1000Nm torque (738 # ft). here's a video of that on track while under development.

It's a bit of a handful to drive.

When was the video taken? G.I.A.C. along with many of the other aftermarket tuners have had the GT2 programming for months.
Our power kit devlopment wrapped up November of last year...
that's just spectacular. notice that the driver CONTINUOUSLY "short shifts" the car to keep from breaking the tires loose. it walks past everything on the track with ridiculous ease. breaks early for corners and uses the straights to annihilate everyone in sight.
Great Video Thanks!
Hans is a great guy. He helped with the development of my S4 early on and is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things VAG. Dahlback is a hugely successful company in Europe. The products he develops over there are second to none in terms of quality. I believe all their products are TUV certified....From what I understand that 997GT2 in the video is one heck of a car. I hear it is using very different turbo wheels than what others are using now.
Hans and Meyers are just about best friends. I believe a bit of product development knowledge is shared between the two companies. DBR is a importer for MTM in Sweden. FWIW

You sure about that? In the video he states the company is no longer around.
Actually there are countless wheels and variations you can do with these VTG turbos... Whether or not it is the right combo is the question.
What I do find interesting is the fact that he did say he addressed the intake manifold. Most people are forgetting that part.

Positive... The company was sold recently to a investor. Hans is still on staff as a consultant and part investor. From what I understand Hans sold the company so he can focus on racing and other endeavors. You can see their website is still up and that they have products available for current platforms.
