Consider the cost of ownership, reliability and cost of repairs. I'd recommend get warranty.

Disagree. You're dealing with a biturbo V12 in the case of the S65 - there's inherently more things that can go wrong or need repairs, and they can require megabuck repair bills. Would highly recommend a CPO'd one, or at the minimum add a reputable aftermarket service contract for peace of mind.

That said, it is a beast and the bulk of the depreciation has already occurred, as you correctly point out - among the best "bang-for-your-buck" options if you're looking for a limo rocket.

I agree w/ C32AMG-DTM.

A very rare twin Turbo V12? yeah, cha-ching on the repairs and maint costs (out of wtty). I don't see bang for your buck....... I see big bang for your wallet though.

I know they are quality engines but, there aren't alot of shops that can do the work inexpensively ... thus you are probably better off using the dealer and they aren't cheap.

I'd wager that one of the reasons that they are so hit so hard on depreciation is that no one wants these cars after wtty is out.

Cl

You are correct, after the warranty is up these things fall off a cliff! My lease was up on my CL55 AMG so i turned it in. That car was 125k 3 years ago now you would be hard pressed to get 40k for it. Even the dealer told me once the Warranty is gone,,,watch out!

Cost of ownership of a V12TT and the suspension, brakes, are off the charts.

I love the S65 but most bang for you buck in my eyes is a new 7series with maintence free warranty for 4yrs and the thing is extremely fast.

Get an 07 S600 with warranty and you would be hard pressed to find any better 4 door sedan on the market in overall performance-safety. The car is a BEAST!!
