CL63 v. Maserati Granturismo S

Which one and why? Both 09 and similarly priced. Thanks

Depends on the buyer, they're both good cars. Do you want luxury and technology or beauty and passion? Drive the Maserati in Sport mode and hear the exhaust and you will know very quickly which one is best for you.

I was considering both as well. Ended up going with the CL63. Haven't looked back.

CL63 is probably the most logical choice, but that Granturismo S is just a show stopper.

Been driving the 63 for a couple of days now and I must say, I am underwhelmed. It's heavy, not very engaging and certainly not as nimble as my 750il. Speed does build at an incredible pace yet getting there is anti-climactic. For the price difference, I really cannot justify over my BMW. Off to drive the mas!

i drove the mas but it didn't feel as well put together as MB/P/BMW. Nothing like MB AMG's... I'd choose AMG's over any Maseratis IMHO.

rahul I hope you don't mind me asking but will this be your everyday vehicle for going into the office etc or a weekend crusader ? I only ask bc I couldn't imagine a more well rounded daily driver then the CL63 providing amazing comfort with looks and hp and most importantly reliability and fixability. Just my 2 cents ! Now if this vehicle will be used for the weekends or dinners I would hands down go with the Maser bc well the looks are just stunning !

Not at all. Yes it will be my daily driver; meaning i will drive it 2-3 times a week. I like to get this out once a week if i can:

As to the CL, i agree with all the things you mentioned, yet there is nothing visceral about it. Hit the gas and go. Perhaps i am a little spoiled by the RS but after all, each drive should be exciting, no?

If you can live without the back seats, CLK black series could be an option for you. Comfortable to drive on a daily basis, yet never boring.

I find that my CLS63 is quicker and feels like more of a beast then the CL63 but I think it is a weight thing about 400lbs? The CL is a beautiful car. The CLK63 Black would be fun.
