Its been 7.80's @ 184 with a looser converter and other drag-happy mods. He has just traded it for a new vert and its gonna get the same treatment.

Thats an 8 sec car on street tires if he ever tried. Auto has its advantages. Doubt a 6 speed with this same setup would be able to crack low 9's or high 8's on those Invo's. Nasty nasty real streetcar.

wow.........he really has the suspension and probably boost control dialed in perfectly.......it just squats and GOES ! looks almost peaceful on the launch.

Awesome. You are right Got HP the lauch was peaceful. I would love to see some street racer freakout when they pulled up next to this car at a red light.

any idea if that was on pump or race gas?

Thanks for the comments guys! The car has a penske racing shock setup. I was running 20" HRE's with the nitto's. Had around 21lbs in the rear tires. I didn't use any boost in first gear, it would simply roast the tires. I had a 1.48 60', my best ever in the car. Thank god someone had video of it. This was at a 50k promod race, had 2-3k people there. It was an awesome time. I was scared the car would blow the tires off over 5500, so I shifted early. When it didn't spin upon takeoff, I knew I could hit the 5's.

The car has twin 76's, striker race heads and a TH400. I've put 4k miles or so driving it around town. All I've had to do is change oil. I ran the car down on gas prior to coming to the track. I put C16 that I used for one of my race cars and let her go. This run was on 18lbs. I can use about 22 at which point it's just blowing through the converter.

It's a great car, but she's going to a new home in TX. The new car will have a similar setup, different heads though. Will be in an 05 convertible, can't wait!

Credit goes to underground racing for that. When I went to pick up the car, they had them on there. I hadn't seen the car since the day I bought it and it was red. I wanted to be surprised, I even let them pick the color blue. The car came with CCW chrome wheels. I never thought I'd like black rims, but I LOVE these, especially with the amount of brake dust these things generate.

When the car pulled up, I said "Oh ****, how much is that going to cost me". They just laughed. Needless to say, I had to cut another check! The new car is getting these same rims. The car will be lambo pearl white

Are you going to have a hardtop like hollywoods car? Th400 as well? How does the car do on the highway with the th400? A GTS is not the easiest car to get out of without a cage I cant even immagine it with a cage.

Nah, no hardtop, not yet anyway. It has the TH400, yes. I've had zero problems on the interstate. It doesn't have an OD unit, which I'm sure would make it even easier. I just don't see the need to invest in it. You're right about getting in and out of the GTS. I can do it pretty easy, but the passengers have a lot more issues. I'm looking forward to my dad being able to get in and drive the car. I won't track the car nearly as much without the safety equipment, but I will take it down once or twice.
