good deal or no deal?

I was just offered a set of HRE's. They are 20 x 10 front and 20 x 12 back. that sounds WAY wide but was told they came of a SL55. anyone know if these would fit my car or if its a good deal? I have a 2003 SL 500 and the guy told me i can take them off his hands for $1000. wheels only no tires.

wanted to know if i should even consider this knowing the size of the rims. let me know what you guys think.

Also, it has HRE center caps and all but wasnt able to find this model on their website. they're 3 pc. forged but cant find a 10 spoke that looks like this.

suggestions suggestions suggestions!!

Those are not HRE wheels and we would do an 20x8.5 or 9 Front & 20x11 for the rear not a 12.

Good move not to go with those...not even sure what they would have been for in those sizes...probably some type of wide body conversion? For sure they are not HRE wheels. For your 2003 SL500 R230 chassis, you should run in a 20" a 9.0 front and a 10.5 or 11.0 rear.
Tire size for that application are 255/30-20 front, and 295/25-20 w/a 10.5 rim, or a 305/25-20 on a 11.0 rim.
Feel free to PM me if you would like me to arrange a 19, or 20" Forged 3pc wheels package for you.

I hope this information is useful...good luck!

Jim

1k for the set? For 3 piece wheels? Did he have to ship them or could you put yourt hands on them? If they cleared the brakes i woudl haev jumped on them, 3 piece wheels are going to cost you a minimum of 3k. If they fit and arent bent or scratched, thats a deal. They look likw 10x11 and 20x9.5 to me, thats as big as youare goingto get on a sl55
