Painting The Stock Wheels Black?

Just wanted to get a few opinions on painting the stock wheels black. I caught a glimpse of a CL63 with the stock AMG wheels painted black. They were the normal AMG wheels, not the performance package wheels. I have the normal AMG wheels as well and was considering it. What do you guys think? It looks really awesome and I'm leaning towards doing it. I think it will still look classy but give it a more aggressive look at the same time. Appreciate any and all input.

Do you know of any reputable places that would be able to do this job for me? I am around your area a lot.

Just ask a custom shop that paints and powdercoats..You know,if your in FL there should be a ton of them but make sure you go to the one that works on top end cars.

Ok guys. Here is the only CL63 I could find on the internet with exactly what I want done. This is Ryan Sheckler's CL63, which happens to be stock with the AMG wheels painted black. This is the exact look I am going for. Please skip to 5:03 in the video. He shows the CL63 and you get a few good shots of the wheels. I think it looks perfect. Is his powder-coated or painted?

I think that is what I am leaning towards. I have a set of 22" MHT Paragon Black wheels that I am going to sell. I prefer the look of the stock wheels painted black. Haha.

Saw that episode of cribs. He said he got his painted. Which I got done on my 5series lips(as you see icon pic) lime green. It is just painted. Dont know the whole process they do but i do know the wheel gets sanded down very good, then the paint process. Go for it,either color blk or matte blk will look stealth! Then you should tint windows and tint tail lights!

Yeah. I think painting is the best bet. I had 24" wheels on my Range Rover that were painted. The guys who did the paintwork didn't do it correctly and didn't sand it down enough. Anyways, I already have the windows tinted and don't want to tint the tail lights. I like the red in the tails. Appreciate the input.

FYI, i got my wheels powdercoated less than a year ago. I dropped my car off to get it fuly detailed and they used an acid based wheel cleaner. It ruined my wheels. I did not notice until a few washes later. Im opting to get them painted this time.

Good luck! and post pics when done!
