First SLS on the Road in DC!

So, while in Georgetown yesterday...We noticed from a distance there was a nice car just parked there. As we got closer, it ended up being a SLS! Its a GORGEOUS CAR in person, wow. The owner came out and started talking to us, and he was just the COOLEST guy ever. He threw us the keys to turn it on, and let us sit in it. Here are some Pics and video of it....He said he just picked up the car the other night as it was just brought off the ship and its the first one registered that was not Jay Leno's or Donald Trump's.

Nice story and awesome car. But I still dont get comfortable with the rear of the car - anyway....

Our dealership had one for a customer and I was to head out yesterday, but unfortunately the car was already picked up

Ali goosh nemeekone

I saw a white one at Euromotorcars last week. Also saw a SLS pre release at the AMG private party before the NY Auto show opened to the public. They also had the race version which was badass!

Man, I really want to like it, the interior is really nice, but it just doesn't do it for me. Would still take an SLR over the SLS in a heartbeat if I was in the position, even though on paper I am sure the SLS is the "better" car... its just not that simple. =/

lol Ahmad, i know he was being dumb...Ali is getting an SLR though so ill make sure I get a video of him reving that! And yeah i think the SLR is much nicer, but this guy said he paid something like 189k for this one. The white SLS at Euro-MC Germantown was sold, the owner traded a new Aston V8 Vantage convertible for it. I drove that Aston too

I saw one of these about a month ago when the Masters Tournament was in town. Mercedes always brings their best to the dealership to show off when the golfers are around. I really want to like this one, but I agree with the others about the SLR. For 190k there is still just a few too many cars out there that I lust after more. Really great to hear that the owner was as down to Earth as he was though. People like that motivate me to work that much harder to be as successful as they are. Looking forward to sharing my cars with others in the future

Saw my first one today pulling out of Fletcher Jones in Newport. Looked decent from the front and sides but the rear is diappointing to me. Too timid for some reason. Still looks like the first generation Viper to me.

Penske in West Covina delivered a week ago

One of our clients drove his into the gym last week. It was quite a hit, a real eye catching beauty.

I just don't love it. The SLR was sexy... this is really, really nice. But IMHO you can do better for the money.

love the concept, not a fan of the execution

(but thinking about picking up an SLS on the second-hand market once they take a major depreciation hit down the road )
