OK, if you really wanna know, I'll tell you...
But I refuse to be held responsible for the possible massive demographic shifts as a result!
Gasoline 91 Octane (RON) (89 US Equivalent) = USD 0.79 per US Gallon
Gasoline 95 Octane (RON) (91 US Equivalent) = USD 0.86 per US Gallon
Gasoline 98 Octane (RON) (93 US Equivalent) = USD 1.18 per US Gallon
Gasoline Race Gas = USD 5.26 per US Gallon
Diesel = USD 0.72 per US Gallon
Note: Race gas is "expensive" relative to others as it is imported because Kuwait refineries cannot refine to that level currently. Race gas is available in only one station that I know of.
Now, Just know before hand that the Visas and Immigration department here is not the most efficient in the world so get it organized Gents.

Edit: I forgot to add that mineral drinking water in Kuwait is more expensive than the 98 RON Gasoline prices!!!

Summer stretches from May to September.
The ambient temperatures in Kuwait in summer hover around 122*F and could on some days reach as high as 140*F.

These kinds of temperatures are not very conducive to air cooled engines, therefore porsches pre 996 are not easy to come by.
What few 993's, 964's etc.. that remain in good condition are mostly garage queens and collector items.
With the advent of water cooled engines and the 996, Porsche began proving itself more reliable in this market.
With the 997, it dominated the luxury sport/super car segment, hence what you saw in the vid.
Hope this explains it.
You have to keep in mind the ambient temperatures in Kuwait.

Not many were taken into Iraq.
Lots of cars, good and not so good, were stolen and smuggled across borders with falsified documents eventually sold in various countries throughout the region during the Iraqi invasion.
But to begin with, there air cooled P cars weren't that abundant to start.
