Opinions of ZR1 Sideskirts On C6Z06

Am thinking about installing them and was wondering what the general consensus is about them? Look good with them or without them?

What color is your Z?

I say get them but I would only buy the none-carbon ones personally.

I have been thinking about doing the front splitter and skirts on mine...only thing is I'm pretty low as it is and I hear that alot of guys are hitting/scraping/tearing off their fronts. Don't wanna do that.

I like the carbon fiber ones, but they are $$$$. I was thinking of going matte black with mine...

Some people say that we are trying to be wanna be ZR1's with them on as well.

Jury is still out...sorry I could not help you with your decision.

Go matte black on Black or just do Carbon. Since I my car is gray I am going to do Gloss black. I am cringing with it being lowered, but I found a place that does replica's in Fiberglass that are cheap in case the splitter gets damaged.

My thoughts exactly, can't think of a better way to say it. GM did such an amazing job with the design of the C6 Z06, then it just looks like they slapped the front splitter and side skirts on the ZR1. If it were me, I'd get the factory trim piece below the front bumper either coated in CF or hydro dipped and call it done.

As mentioned, it depends on how you utilize the car. If people are already scraping the stock skirts on ZR's, I'd hate to install only to hear them scrape a week later.

So, if you DD the Z or it's primarily a street car which sees all sorts of roads/etc, I'd avoid it.
