S65 coming stateside!
Chi-Town Screamer: Mercedes brings S65 AMG stateside
Staring at another 11 months or so of selling the current, outgoing S-Class, Mercedes-Benz will draw on some of our favorite selling tools—major horsepower and maximum performance in the S65 AMG—to keep S-Class sales perking until the next-generation 2006 model arrives next January.
The S65 makes its North American debut at the Chicago auto show in February, and goes on sale in March starting at $170,000. The S65 is powered by a hand-assembled 6.0-liter, 604-hp, 738-lb-ft twin-turbo V12 good for 0-to-60-mph times of 4.2 seconds.

We have the S600 and its much better than our bentley... My dad really loves it, especially with the light beige interior...

Newport isn't any different, I saw an SL65 at Ralphs 2 days back then a CL65 and SL65 on the freeway the last two days
what the ****!
Gotta build hype for the last year 's build out. A year from now , you can pick one up for $85-90K, but then you are driving the " old car " , as the new one is supposed to be so much more luxurious than the outgoing one which always looked like a C class with more stitching on the leather .

I am so sick of the latest and greatest. All I really need is one of these with an F14 tomcat engine and I'll be set for life!

I've already seen 2 SL65's and 1 CL65 in my little redneck town, granted they were at the dealer, but dang they are sweet! I thought they were more limited production... The M-B dealer was real nice and let my friends and I sit in and examine them. Even though the SL is much sexier the CL is so much more classy and exclusive.
