Damage is infamous around these parts
They should've been removed. They're there during transport to prevent bobbing up and down of your car. I could be wrong..but those exists on other cars when they're brand new and are removed during PDI.

Just goes to show you that some people buy a Porsche to be seen and not to drive like it was meant to be.

I knew something was wrong as soon as I pulled the car into my garage from the transport truck. So much for PDIs.

Is the car used or brand new? If brand new, I misunderstood. Sorry Bob.

Simply amazing that a 2008 car could still have the shipping restraints on the suspension...missed during PDI and then missed any subsequent times that it was serviced or a wheel was off...makes you wonder a bit if it ever was PDI'ed doesn't it Bob? Is it possible that they were put on for the transport and they forgot to tell you? They look new...how many miles on the car? I don't think they would look that new if they had been on since the car was new

Larry, I just got the car a few days ago, haven't had a chance to drive it and did my own inspection last night. It has 150 on the odometer and was primarily a museum piece in Ken Lingenfelter's showroom/garage.

Still...amazing that 150 miles were run with those pieces in.

I did a search on transport blocks on google.com and found that this is often overlooked by nearly all dealerships from Chevy to Ferrari.

They are definitely factory transport inserts.

Cool that it only has 150 miles, brand new basically. I love the GT2 in red.

I guess I'm a little paranoid about what else they missed. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.

What surprises me is that the collector didn't catch it. They usually have a keen eye for detail.

Given what they already missed I'd be lookin' for a refund on that PDI.

We've actually had a few brand new GT3RS cars arrive recently for some upgrades and the factory transport inserts were still on surprisingly. One customer had already driven his car for a few hundred miles and had no idea why the ride was funky..... I guess the PDI process at some dealerships are being rushed if even done at all...
