I thought the SL did a pretty good job actually. (only watched 2 runs)

 

Very close race... Those MB-BS have a ton of HP and TQ and it shows. I've seen one in LA and one in Phoenix. I've yet to see one here in TX.

This is the kind of motivation I need to move on from my exhaust only to a tune as well.

There are several in Houston...check out the next urbanspeed meet, there is a doctor that has one (motorwerks does the work on it)

 

At first I thought the P-car jumped the start but in the 2nd run it looked and sounded like the MB was in the wrong gear on the start. I thought I heard it downshift. After that it was an even race.

 

These are nice races to LOOK at, but their true information on car comparisons is minimal. Everything depends on fuel octane, tank full/empty, wheel condition, skill of the driver shifting, or in a case of an automatic, wheather or not the car is in right gear. I would also hope the racelogic type of datalogging would be used as the comparison to truly understand what is happening, because if there is even a minimal speed difference or one car jumps the start in these types of supercars, it is very hard for a car to catch up even if it is faster. The data would tell the true story.

I can't believe the BS didn't win that race???? and the Turbo wasn't even an S....PDK is insane

 

I have to be honest...given the opportunity to have a Turbo or that AMG BS, I'd take the AMG despite the outcome of that race.

These two races made it evident that these cars are very well amtched and very simlar, and the SL65 Black Series ais faster at speeds over 250 km/h / 150 mph.
