'10 tt/pdk softronic and other thing

Has anyone done a softronic flash on a new tt/pdk, and if so comments please?

I love driving in sport plus/M and go to D for the cool downshifts. Question is is there anyway to retard the downshift from 4/3 or 3/2, I would like them to happen at a lower rpm, so it wouldn't happen so often.

I have done the Softronics flash on my 2010 TT. Fantastic!!
I do not think that the ECU upgrades effects the PDK at all- only engine functions! If you want to downshift earlier, I think you have to do it Manually.

0-60 is excellent. I just ran the 1/4 last week with the weather hot and humid. Spun all 4 tires through 1st and 2nd gear. Had a 60 foot time of 1.63 and ran the quarter at 10.95 -- 126mph(stock tires). Would have been a lot faster with sticky tires and cool temps.

Hi Brian,

Ever had any warning lights or messages? April claims +90 hp and +100 torque! Thinking about doing it.

Never any CEL'S or messages. Softronics claims are about 80-90 hp and equivalent TQ.

Brian,

Almost ready to order. One more question, after the flash does the engine spin up faster like a NA S? I'm looking for info about changes in day-to-day driving.

Also, I ran into someone who said that by raising the handbrack one click it will put a 4 wheel drive car including the turbo into rear wheel only mode, anythinkg on this?

I have not noticed any difference in the day to day driving, except that the car is noticeable faster. It does rev faster, as the additional power will get it going. You will have the additional torque in all the time, not for just 10 seconds in sport or sport plus mode.

I have never heard of raising the handbrake to put the car into rear wheel mode-- False!! Why would you want to? The car would be all over the road. At least in 4 wheel drive, all four wheels spin when using launch control and the car is much easier to control- just a little side to side movement. Of course, I also did the intake and exhaust and had Softronics modify my program to accommodate for this.
I am sure you will be very satisfied.

I would seriously question their claim of gains of 80-90 HP....I don't buy it !

No joke when the car is capable of mid 10 second quarter mile runs

handbrake lifting works on subaru's for rwd, but I don't think it does for porsche (even though porsche and subaru have so many similarities in build)

Hello,

TXTurbo, Yes we have a flash for the 997TT S.

Softronic uses BHP as does Porsche for HP/Torque gains.. BHP is not the same as WHP in which is "Wheel Horse Power". WHP can vary dyno to dyno and shows drive train losses etc.

You may call us at 203-723-8928 for more info .

Best Regards,
Scott Slauson
